Water well deepening
If an existing well no longer supplies enough water, deepening may reach another water-bearing layer.

Soft ground, swelling clay or changing groundwater levels can cause movement around older wells and threaten their casing. Reinforcement is planned to stabilise the borehole walls and protect the existing well structure.
Where the assessment and design call for it, reinforcing elements or piles around the borehole can take ground loads and limit deformation. The solution is sized for the specific soil, depth and condition of the well, aiming to keep the intervention limited while providing lasting structural support.

Low flow, cloudy water or pumping problems need a diagnosis before choosing a repair.

Extending an existing borehole may provide access to a deeper water-bearing layer without starting a separate well.

Sand in the water can damage a pump and may indicate problems with the well screens or filter pack.

Bored piles and micropiles provide deep foundation support where the project and soil conditions require it.

Sediment and deposits can affect water clarity and well performance. Cleaning is selected according to the well condition.

Clear water is not necessarily safe to drink. Drinking-water quality must be checked through laboratory testing.
